Issue 20: SDKs & Self-Education

What are SDKs, Claude Code, and how do you install it on a Mac?

🗞️ AI News of The Week:

You thought you were done with all of those annoying Adobe Reader popups? Not so fast…

Adobe just gave Acrobat a makeover…and not the fun Photoshop kind. With the launch of Acrobat AI Assistant and the new Acrobat Studio, they're turning your PDFs into productivity powerhouses.

You can now ask questions about documents, summarize long PDFs, and even “chat” with your files. Is it sexy? Not really. Is it useful? Absolutely.

TL;DR: Acrobat is trying to become ChatGPT with a briefcase.

🧠 AI Term of The Week: SDK (Software Development Kit)

Explain It Like I’m 5:
An SDK is like a box of Lego pieces for apps. Instead of making every single block yourself, the box gives you ready-made pieces so you can build something faster. In AI, SDKs are special Lego sets that let developers quickly add things like chatbots, image generators, or voice tools into their apps without starting from scratch.”

Big Boy Definition:
An SDK is a bundle of tools, libraries, and documentation that lets developers build applications for a specific platform or service. Think of it as a starter kit — whether you're integrating AI into a mobile app or connecting to Claude’s API, an SDK helps you skip the setup struggle and get straight to building.

Why it matters:
SDKs lower the barrier to entry for creators. They give you plug-and-play power, so you can focus on ideas, not the super technical development stuff.

💬 Quote of the Week:

Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune.”

🧰 AI Tool of The Week: Claude Code

Claude Code is a powerful coding environment by Anthropic (makers of Claude AI). You typically access Claude Code in the Terminal so it feels super-nerdy, but it’s actually quite easy and intuitive and man, is it powerful. It’s basically like having a super-AI that lives on your computer and you can ask it to do just about anything and it just gets to work. Make a website, app, write a blog post, organize my files, rename, resize, etc. Claude Code is special and I haven’t even scratched the surface.

Why it’s great:
It’s fast, intuitive, and optimized for building with AI, making it ideal for creators who code or want to start.
