  • Usage Patterns: Asking (49%), Doing (40%), and Expressing (11%).

  • Work-related tasks account for about 30% of consumer use

  • 70% is non-work, highlighting ChatGPT’s role in both productivity and daily life.

The study emphasizes that value is created through decision support, improving judgment and productivity, especially in knowledge-intensive jobs.

Model Context Protocol (MCP): A standard created by Anthropic (Claude) for connecting AI to Your Apps.

MCP is like a universal adapter that lets AI assistants connect directly to your favorite apps and data sources. Instead of copying and pasting information between tools, AI can now access your Google Drive, calendar, databases, and other services directly—while maintaining security controls.

Before MCP, each AI-to-app connection required custom coding. Now developers can build one connection that works across multiple AI platforms, similar to how USB ports work with any compatible device.
