What it is:
AgentKit is OpenAI’s toolkit to design, embed, and evaluate production-grade AI agents.

AgentKit bundles visual workflow design, chat UI components, and robust evals so teams can build, deploy, and improve agents faster and more reliably.

  • Core tools: Agent Builder (visual multi‑agent canvas), Connector Registry (centralized data/tool governance), ChatKit (embeddable chat UIs)

  • Guardrails: Open-source safety layer, detect jailbreaks, add safeguards; Python and JavaScript libraries

  • Evals upgrades: Datasets, trace grading, automated prompt optimization, third‑party model support; plus RFT beta for custom tool calls and custom graders.

  • Availability: ChatKit and new Evals are GA; Agent Builder is beta; Connector Registry rolling out in beta

Semantic Search is why modern AI assistants can understand what you're asking for and pull relevant information, even when you phrase things in unexpected ways.

For example, if you ask "How do I reset my password?", semantic search might also find helpful articles titled "Trouble logging in?" or "Account access recovery" because it understands these topics are related in meaning, not just in the words used.
