This feels like a big deal. The Genesis Mission is the US Government saying:
“We’re all in and we’re reorganizing the science machine around AI.”

What is it?
The White House launched the Genesis Mission, a sweeping national initiative to supercharge scientific discovery with AI. Think “Manhattan Project energy,” but aimed at breakthroughs in fields like biotechnology, clean energy, quantum science, advanced manufacturing, and more.The plan pulls together federal datasets, national labs, supercomputers, and private-sector partners into one unified AI research platform run by the Department of Energy.

The goal:
Accelerate major scientific advances, tighten security around critical tech, and keep the U.S. competitive in a world racing to build AI-powered innovation.

It’s the biggest U.S. push yet to use AI as a national engine for scientific progress.


🧠 AI Term of The Week: Function Calling (aka Tool Calling) 

Function Calling is what lets AI go from just chatting… to actually doing things.
