🗞️ AI News of The Week: ChatGPT can now use Adobe apps
Adobe Meets Agentic AI: A Workflow Shift for Creators
Mike’s immediate thoughts? Is Adobe feeling the heat since the rise in Generative AI Tools. Are creatives reaching for non-Adobe Tools like ChatGPT ,Google Gemini (Nano Banana Pro), Midjourney, etc. instead of Adobe CC tools. I know I am. AI Tools are getting so easy to use, yet many of the AI Powerhouse Tools require years of experience to use. I’m still a fan and rooting for Adobe, but feels like they need to step it up if they want to stay relevant.
Summary:
For those of us who have spent decades mastering the Creative Cloud, the idea of "conversational editing" might sound like a tool exclusively for beginners. However, the new integration of Photoshop, Acrobat, and Express directly into ChatGPT signals a genuine shift in how we might handle our daily workflows.
Instead of launching a heavy desktop app for a quick task, you can now simply ask ChatGPT to blur a background, convert a file, or merge PDFs using Adobe's engines. While this doesn't replace the granular control of the full desktop software, it bridges the gap between ideation and creation. It's a glimpse into an "agentic" future where AI handles the mundane production tasks, letting us focus purely on the creative direction.
🧠 AI Term of The Week: x402 (Micropayments)
Mike’s Notes:
x402 has my attention and I think it’s a really big deal. As a content creator, I could use x402 to monetize anything without having to pay the obligatory 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction charged by Stripe and most online payment processors today. I could charge a tenth of a penny for tech support questions and I’d still make a profit. I’m deep down the x402 rabbit hole and I’m figuring out how to use it.
x402:
Ever wonder why websites can't charge you a fraction of a penny to read an article instead of forcing subscriptions or ads? That's what x402 aims to fix.
Named after the HTTP "402 Payment Required" error code that's been sitting unused since 1997, x402 is a protocol that enables tiny, frictionless payments online (think pennies or fractions of pennies). Built for the AI era, it allows AI agents to autonomously pay for services, API calls, or content without human intervention.
Instead of monthly subscriptions or pay-per-use that racks up unpredictable bills, x402 makes it possible to pay exactly for what you consume. Your AI assistant could pay 0.001 cents to query a database, or you could pay 2 cents to read a single article and it all happens instantly in the background.
Why it matters:
As AI agents become more common, they'll need a way to transact automatically. x402 could be the infrastructure that makes AI-to-AI commerce possible, opening up new business models for creators and service providers.

🧰 AI Tool of The Week: Replit
Code in Your Browser, Ship in Minutes
Replit is a browser-based coding platform that lets you build and deploy apps without installing anything on your computer. Think of it as Google Docs for coding…open a tab and start building.
The x402 connection:
Replit has deeply integrated x402 micropayments, making it dead-simple to monetize your AI tools. Want to charge 5 cents every time someone uses your custom AI agent? Replit handles the payment infrastructure automatically with no Stripe setup, no payment gateway headaches.
For non-developers, Replit's AI assistant can actually help you write the code as you describe what you want to build. You can create chatbots, automation scripts, or API integrations by talking through your ideas.
Note:
I am using Replit to build a tool that uses x402. Replit has a bunch of free x402 Starter Templates to make it really easy to get started. If you can type, you can use Replit.
